WHAT'S NEW WITH VARSITY VBC?

NCVA - SEASON UPDATE

Hello Coaches, Players, and Parents,

We hope you are all staying healthy and well during these trying times. After much consideration, the NCVA has made the very tough decision to cancel the remainder of our season. This was not an easy decision to make and we ended up determining it was in the best interest of everyone's safety that we cancel all of our future events.

Parents, we thank you for the kind words some of you have taken to time to write in to us full of your support and concerns for our well being. Our staff are safe and working remotely to help with the day-to-day questions you may have, so feel free to continue to reach out to us if you have any questions. In regards to refunds, we have spoken with your Club Director and notified them about the refund process of team entry fees. This process will take some time as we had a record number of team entries this year. We ask for not only patience on our end but on behalf of your Club Directors as well. This is uncharted territory for us all and it will take some time to navigate these new issues many of us face. Please keep supporting your athletes and clubs by encouraging virtual training and team meetings, and following other guidance from your clubs.

Coaches, we see many of you on social media making your best efforts to stay connected with your players through video chats, TikTok Challenges, and more. Your hard work and determination to boost team morale continues to be shown on and off the court and we appreciate your dedication to your team during these difficult times.

Players, your innovation and creativity to keep your skills sharp and tuned truly shows the meaning of being an Athlete. Many of you turning to Instagram to show off your favorite memories, and at home skill challenges, is the virtual demonstration of strength of the volleyball community. The decision to cancel this event and our season did not come easy as we knew that you, as players, would take the brunt of the impact. Please take this unprecedented time as an opportunity to continue to develop your skills at home. We will be sharing many upcoming webinars for not only coaches but also players to help them with at-home workouts, tips on college scouting, and much more! The NCVA Instagram will also have a couple featured takeovers and guest spots in the coming months featuring current and previous Olympians and their tips for achieving your greatest potential. We hope to host a late-summer event, if the situation allows, so keep an eye out for info. We can't wait to have you back on the court!

Thank you all again for your support and patience during this time. As mentioned before, our staff remain available if any you have any questions.

Stay safe and healthy,

NCVA Staff

A NOTE TO OUR PARENTS...

I wanted to touch base with everyone and give you a status update on our season.

The NCVA has cancelled all tournaments and events through at least March 31st.

This was also a directive from USA Volleyball that individual memberships and insurance that each player is covered by will not be in place through at least March 31st.

With Stockton Unified being closed for the next 3 three weeks, I am also going to say that we will more than likely  not be able to practice until at least April 6th.

As everyone knows, this is a worldwide pandemic and something that is completely out of our hands.

When and if more information becomes available, I will definitely be in contact.

Thank you and all hope everyone is out there being safe.

Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me via email at gleal209@gmail.com.
